Gesture of Awareness is a meditative approach to presence. What is at stake in this practice is not what we are doing or how we are doing anything but simply being.
This can be explored in simple movements or gesture, in taking a step, in the contact with another person or in the awareness of the way our mental representations condition the way we live.
Awakened to the nonjudgmental immediacy of the instant, one can discover an incomparable sense of freedom.
Any situation could be approached with this attitude.
The practice is usually held in silence under the guidance of the teacher.
The workshop
is intended for practitioners with an interest in exploring mindfulness in connection with movements of the body and in connection with others. The sessions will be spent exploring presence in various situations; the day will be held partly in silence.
